Question about the HALO Series
 

So there's a alot of hype surround the new HALO 4 game. I have not played a HALO game since Halo 2.

My question is that, does it matter that i've missed a couple games in between HALO 2 and HALO 4? Would i be lost with the story line if i jumped into HALO 4, without knowing the story line from the games i've missed?

Probably, but you can always read the plots online to get caught up

This game is made by a different studio that did the previous ones. Story wise, there isn't much you're going to miss since it's mostly new. But like ^he said, you can read the plots of previous halo online.

Don't expect Halo 2 multiplayer or even Halo 3's... This one is quite uhh CODish. So many stupidass things to unlock and skills and dumbass weapons. Just give me a BR, put sniper, rocks, and overshield on map and be done. Multiplayer is fun with a lot of guys, but nothing like past Halos.

Oh and **** the sprinting, jetpack, etc. Make the X button for BXR and double shots.

A lot of the people that did the 'Bungie' ones are part of 343 Studios. It's basically a bunch of the 'die hard' devs. They pretty much came together for this game. The name '343' comes from the '343 Guilty Spark' from Halo 1.

although 3 different halo games have been released since halo2, only halo 3 has plot which you are missing. odst and reach are more prequels if anything. Just read up online if you don't have time although i'd recomend picking up h3 for cheap and giving it a run through.

Im tempted to play all the halo games before buying h4... but the fact that h2 hasn't been remastered is giving me pause hehe.

So far I think Halo 4 is the return to the epicness that Halo 2 was. I didn't really like 3, ODST, or Reach. If you read the books you can catch up on the story line. :)

Damn prequels and sequels.

I used to be a die hard halo fan until it got too confusing to follow the storyline.

Now I'm wondering if I should get it. Halo 3 was my favorite, followed by 1 and then 2. H2 was the first one online, but it lacked. I'm with Jack, give me and BR, sniper, shotgun, and grenades. All the other stuff is counter productive.

Nope. I'm loving it so far. I haven't played the multiplayer yet though as I'm not a multiplayer kinda guy.

yup, i'd also get Halo 3. it's better than ODST, imo. the multiplayer was amazing. btw, Halo 3: ODST comes with a 2nd disc with Halo 3 online only, just incase you wanted to get that too.

it only got a 9.0 on gamespot, and probably from other game magazines as well... where'd you hear that from? are you an apple AND cod fan boy? because that would make the image perfect :D

My question: is it like ODST with all the stupid jet packs and terrible sniper and BR, or is it like Halo 3?

I didn't hear that from anywhere, just wondering. Was thinking about buying it, but I bought Horizon and will get BO2 as well.

For the record, yes I love BLACK OPS, but I also HATE MW3. I have played just about as much HALO as I have COD though, I used to LAN 3 xboxes with friends in my parents garage when I was 16 and play the OG HALO non-stop lol. I don't hate on HALO one bit. In fact, I don't hate on ANY game, I'm a HUGE nerd lol.... OKAY I LIED, all FF games after FF7 SUCKED lol
