First ever thread
Good day everyone. My 2000 328ci M/T has been in our family for 7 years. My wife drives it as her daily car. It is the only BMW we've owned, but will get another when finances allow. Until then, I try the DIY routine. Build date is 08/1999. Outside ambient air temp. sensor not located in lower left front wheel liner/cover. My new lower front left cover has an opening and that's where I read it's located. Any one else know where it might be? Hope you folks can help. Thank you.

Just found "Temperature Sensor" thread -DIDN'T HELP
Found Thread in General E46 forum. Looks great and some posts were helpful looking, however, my lower fender liner that was ripped out does not have the hole for the sensor as the fotos did. No wires hanging down. Maybe prior owner had work done that resulted in wrong liner being installed in the past. No hole for sensor on passenger side. Looked in bumper area near/under fog lights. Maybe if it was a snake it would bite me, but I don't see it. VIN = JP01094, build date 08/1999. Could it be somewhere else? I try to check things as best I can before I post. Spent hours on another forum yesterday with slow loading pages. This forum is way faster. Thank you.

Posting to myself
Well...after another search of my 328ci using my inspection mirror, I've finally located the 2 blue wires that the "Temperature Sensor" thread people were talking about. "Old Man Eyes" and poor memory = wasting time. To all those who viewed and left me alone, thank you. That forced me to work it out myself. Will order the connector and socket (probably with white wires) today and do the repair just like everybody else. Not much of a foto/update kind of guy so I'll keep my stuff simple. Enjoyed the "Science" thread last nite though. Thanks and take care all.
