Mayan Physicist: Talks Hadron Collider, Pyramids, Dec 21, Consciousness Shift

Fascinating talk about supposed upcoming events - Not the end of the world literally, but perhaps a massive awakening event?

ah, so we're managing expectations now?
"The world will definitely be literally ending December 21st, 2012"

"Well, maybe not a literal end to the world, maybe it'll just be some kind of major change. But if the world still ends, I'm still right. But if it doesn't, then I just meant it's going to be a major cultural shift, that may or may not be discernible to the average person without special insight into these kinds of things."

I've been thinking for the last couple weeks about how surprised I am that I haven't heard more about the Dec 21 stuff.

SLVR JDM 11-14-2012 11:32 AM

The Mayans figured that if you couldn't determine how the calendar cycle works after that much repetition, you deserve to act like it is the end of the world.

cowmoo32 11-14-2012 11:33 AM

Mayan physicist? lol

edit: In a span of 2 minutes he said we're looking for antimatter (which was proven to exist in 1955) called a proton-proton which is responsible for burning large areas of forests :spit: The proton-proton reaction is not a form of antimatter, hence the name proton reaction, not anti-proton. The reaction is better known as fusion and stars have been doing this for billions of years. Two hydrogen protons collide to form helium.

I lol'd, but I wasn't going to question it too much before I watched the video. And I don't have any plans on watching the video.

I figured best case someone with mayan ancestry who happens to have a degree in physics.

But seeing as how it's a drex video, it's probably an actual "mayan physicist" who has devoted their entire life to studying this inevitability.

NOVAbimmer 11-14-2012 11:39 AM

ok, so I bit and started watching. He started by saying he's concerned about the alignment of the planets, then goes on to say a particle accelerator is going to crack the tectonic plates, releasing methane gas, which will create swirling fireballs.

Maya pls.

CollinsE90 11-14-2012 11:41 AM

Mayan physicist lol, must have a time traveling camel.

cowmoo32 11-14-2012 11:43 AM

Wait wait wait, so now Mayan pyramids are particle accelerators? How the FVCK can you take this seriously?

NOVAbimmer 11-14-2012 11:44 AM

there's apparently no planetary alignment scheduled for 2012. The last few were in 1962, 1982, and 2000. We're still here to look back at them.

DylloS 11-14-2012 11:46 AM

drex, wtf is wrong with you?

Drex 11-14-2012 11:47 AM

What qualifies someone as a physicist or a doctor? A piece of paper? Interest in the topic? Experience?

If anyone here can show the rest of us how they have consciousness or what they were before they were born on this planet then maybe they should speak up. Otherwise accept the fact that you have no effing idea about anything in this "reality" other than what has been spoon fed to you by "established" science/media etc.

NOVAbimmer 11-14-2012 11:48 AM

CCFL bulbs will cause the poles to shift?

I was a sperm in my dad's testicle and an egg in my mom's ovary before I was born. Then, when a man and a woman love each other very much, birds and bees do something, then the stork brings a baby.

cowmoo32 11-14-2012 11:50 AM

lol, a "particle decelerator" is only $3k according to the guy in the video. Anyone in for a group buy?

I don't know what you do for a living, but what qualifies you to have that job?

I trade stock for a private firm :shhh:

I actually found this video on one of the trading blogs I follow. :)

http://www.zentrader.ca/blog/?p=15836

But I guess if wall st. traders watch this stuff it must be totally bunk...

NOVAbimmer 11-14-2012 11:56 AM

we're making human magnets with bad dancing. And a magnetic mattress over mexico. I'm not sure what the benefits of a magnetic mattress are, but I'll tell you my non-magnetic tempurpedic sure makes my back feel better.

I still don't understand how this magnetic mattress is going to save the world, or maybe it's bringing about the end of the world? It sounds kind of like he's going to slow down the protons used in a particle accelerator and trap them?
