ok I am bored right now, so I thought I would formally say hello to everyone!, the names Manoj De Zilva, 22 years old and from Melbs SE suburbs, I have been surfing these forum for quite awhile now since back in 2007 but I never really got involved, Ive had the privilege of owning 3 e46s during that time as I am simply addicted to them, one of the most beautiful cars ever made imo, so anyway here is a brief story of my e46 ownership...

When I turned 18 back in 2008 I took the plunge and got a bank loan to buy my 2nd car, a 2001 Topaz Blue Metallic 330ci vert, did several mods until I lost my license for 1 year just before summer... still kept driving anyway and got caught.. lost it for an additional 6 months on top, I decided to move on so I sold it

After finally getting back my license in early 2010, and having saved up all my pennies in that down time I was on the hunt for an M3 but spotted an almost brand new 2003 330ci individual vert in manual with only 18,400 genuine km on the clock! so I jumped on it instead, I planned to keep it for the rest of my life so I modded it that way, not thinking twice about expense and worked 2 jobs feed my mod bug, never bothered to take pics of it in its final stages because I had a few mag spots and website features lined up, it went through a few looks but this is close to what it looked like before... I lost it in the wet due to running extremely stretched tires and slamming into a concrete pole at 80km/h

After that tragic incident in early 2012, I gave up on cars and went overseas for a couple of months, I came back and started looking at my other love the R34 GTR but there was no stand out examples for a good price, but I did see a pretty neat e46 M3 in Phoenix Yellow Metallic, one of my favorite colors for the M3 at a great price, so I got it as a "temp" car and told my self to hold off on modding, but its such an awesome car I couldn't help myself, so here we go all over again... :eek:

haha, well lucky for me you didn't, im loving it! sometimes u need to learn a harsh lesson to learn the limits of driving on public roads, im going to save the racing for the track! in the process of getting my cams license now

Welcome mate, I love Phoenix Yellow but I have to say that Topaz Blue vert is sex on legs. I'm not a fan of the Need for Speed style body kits, but definitely the M3 can be a class act if you choose the right mods. :thumbsup:

thanks, im shattered I couldnt grab that SS race exhaust off u, how does the Dixis sound in comparison?

thanks, lol NFS style bodykits? what do you mean? its a GTR kit on the black e46, very common in the states

my section 2 is resonated, removes a fair bit of rasp, but to get any decent sound, I need aftermarket headers which is hard to acquire
for RHD and b1tch to install and run with out copping check engine error msgs, ill see if get time to get a video clip

So how much did you get that 01 M3 for? I remember seeing he dropped it to $35k there before it sold?

I dont even want to imagine your insurance costs.

But i do love your current car. PY is such a pretty color
