Sub install problems HELP!

Hi all,
I am installing a subwoofer and amp into my 2005 e46 coupe and I used the BSW sub install pdf. The problem that I am having is that even with the sub gain turned all the way down, there is no sound coming through any of my interior speakers, only the sub. All the wiring seems to be in order. Does anyone have any troubleshooting advice?
Much appreciated!

Pretty sure you need to wire in a crossover if your amp doesn't have one built in

I have a line output converter wired in right now. With everything wired back to stock it still works fine so I didn't blow anything during the install

A crossover is different than a LOC. Look up active crossover. If you have an older amp you may not have one built in.

I will check it out. Messing around with it more, it works wired in stock configuration but does not work when the LOC is wired in even with the RCA leads disconnected so it must be the LOC or maybe the fact that I have no crossover.

Also, could anyone give a link to an inexpensive active or passive crossover that would work for my application?

I seem to have resolved the issue by wiring the signal from the rear deck speakers, but can anyone confirm why my setup was not working before?
Thanks

I'm having the same exact issue that you're having, except, even when I wired everything back to normal, my speakers still aren't working. I figured it was the amp, so I bought another amp that matches the serial number off of ebay. This time, only the left side of the speakers have sound coming out of them, and I mean sound. It's mostly static and other stuff where you can barely make out the song that's playing.
