No, it should been the other way around. Ask any Europeans.

OP, the topic is incredibly broad. Any specific areas of comparison you'd like to look into?

Well there's a reason both companies are still around. Enough people think Mercedes is better -- and enough other people think BMW is better -- to keep them viable. I've always thought it came down to
MBZ = luxury; BMW = performance.

mkodama 12-12-2012 12:44 AM

What a dumb thread topic. You could have at least been a little more specific and learned to spell correctly.

Oh god

2012+ BMW is becoming more buisness and less hands on Motorsport quality in my honest opinion I know there will be people to argue but let's face the fact that older chassis looked allot like they would out perform any other bran unlike now where the faqing "4 series" looks fragile and relaxed

To conclude my opinion I think M-Benz just might pull a fast on BMW in near future, though I may not sound like I'm not making sense try to comprehend me as best as you guys can
But BMW is in our hearts for ever and no reacements

scarede46er 12-12-2012 01:59 AM

don't forget audi. From last year onward, Audi > BMW

blksab65 12-12-2012 02:46 AM

i could tell this question was made by a new member...

Give it 3 years. When those Audis are out of warranty and breaking down every other week, we'll see who made the better car.

As for BMW vs Mercedes Benz?

Both have their pros/cons. I absolutely love MB's AMG division. It feels as if every one of their cars has such a fantastic blend of luxury and awesome performance.

Just...look.

However, on the opposite end of the spectrum, you've got:

It's very hard to compete with an Alpine White/Arctic White M3 of any generation.

Don't even get me started on Porsches. There are way too many great German cars to choose from nowadays. Except Audi.

trj 12-12-2012 07:03 AM

OP, buy both and decide yourself.

What a dumb question.

choxor 12-12-2012 07:36 AM

Why is this in general

Purpose of this thread: instigate flame wars.

diM3tri 12-12-2012 07:38 AM

You're posting in the bmw forums asking if bmw or Mercedes is better..... What answers did you expect to get? If we all liked Mercedes better we would be driving them...

MercForHire 12-12-2012 07:50 AM

When a engineer graduates university in Germany, he gets hired by Benz or BMW.

The ones who fail out..well.. get hired by VW.
