I had thought that it was about Django's heretofore untold secret life as a killer of whitey in the Deep South prior to the Civil War, in much the same vein as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter chronicled our 16th president's secret life as a killer of bloodsucking undead.

Look slavery has happened to all races, colors, creeds, sexes, whatever.. blacks enslaved blacks, whites enslaved blacks, blacks enslaved whites, Egyptians on Jews, English on Catholics, Americans on Irish, etc.. bigotry, discrimination, slavery, whatever.

The problem though is that the white man's guilt has been exacerbated and movies like this further the tension and further dilute history (making all of one group look evil).

Were all Germans evil simply because they wore the Nazi uniform? I think not. Were all whites evil because they had slaves? I think not. If this movie portrays such, it's not doing anyone any good.
