EMS for a BMW turbo

Hello

Im new here and looking for a EMS solution to a turbo build in a bmw e46 smg, i know of HPF and PROefi but are there any more options?

Dreikraft 12-20-2012 12:44 PM

not for EMS based solutions but maximum psi retains the stock DME for tuning on their s54 turbo kits if that is something you are interested in. a few other vendors will have EMS based solutions in the following year i'm sure.

thanks! are there more companys than maximum psi who do this?

Evolve does flash tunes based on your mods and Jaws Motorsport does DME tuning...they are in Europe as well which prolly helps you out ;)

If Jaws can't help you then evolve is probably out of the question. What type of setup are you running?/planning to run? What are your goals and purpose?

i have everything installed, turbo (6266), manifolds, ic and fuelsystem (injectors, fuelpumps etc), just missing a working ecu =)

I know a guy that is selling a ProEFI setup that would probably get you rolling the quickest...http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...ghlight=proefi It's not perfect in my opinion but I would say it's your quickest option as it seems to work ok in a piggyback configuration...FSR Motorsports in my opinion are the best people to talk to about setting it up for our cars.

Another option would be the Pectel SQ6 from Neel at Apex...that being said I don't believe it works well in a piggyback capacity with the BMW DME...it would need to be a full standalone so good bye abs, dash, etc...

Best option in the future will be (HOPEFULLY!) the AEM Infinity but that's a year or so away unfortunately.

The harness is for SMG or 6MT.

Your only option right now (aside from going full stand alone) is ProEFI.

More options will surface in the next year but for now its only proefi.

Jacobs323i(member here) is running Pectal setup. His build thread is on here(great read).

Also NickG is the man that is helping Maximum PSI with their stock DME tuning. His website is below. I have his turbo kit in my 325 and it runs just like stock. He tuned it himself. No lights permanently lit on the dash. He would be my first call personally. Then start exploring stand alone/piggyback systems if he is not free to help you. Why spend extra for stand alone if you don't have to.
He knows his sh!t when comes to tuning on the stock DME.

Good luck

check with Mr.X.

He is in Europe. I believe in Sweden or Denmark.

He ll do more than what you need on stock DME.

He s been tuning dmes since the E46 M3 came out....

jonhaan 12-20-2012 10:52 PM

I cant find this mr.x. here?

jonhaan 12-21-2012 09:00 AM

Thanks everyone!
Stock DME tuning would be the best for me i think but i cant get hold of anyone that can help me, ill hope some of your suggestion will help, i think so =) If not, it looks like a "piggback" solution is next...

Both sellers are legit but I think Jaime (02black330ci)has the full package, not sure about Lawrence(Airfrcd) ...either way you can't go wrong though.
