Must have been a blizzard.

As American citizens, we really have no right to dictate or influence Chinese labor laws. Do we have a moral justification to do something? Absolutely. An obligation? Not so much.

We'll be just like the Chinese if US corporations have their way.

Already well on the way. Banning the sale of goods. More specifically, candy cigarettes. I'm feeling more and more Chinese every day, especially as our great President keeps racking up the debt to, guess where? You guessed it...

Lair 12-27-2012 10:47 AM

Yes, like the Chinese government gives a fvck about what their constituents eat.

5speed5er 12-27-2012 10:51 AM

If you have a problem with it then stop buying cheap Chinese ****. Haven't heard of British, German, or Italian workers complaining.

People live to bitch and complain but they rarely are willing to make a real sacrifice for change. And im just talking about the way people shop.

The Chinese government cares about everything to do with that populace. Anything it doesn't like, it bans. Do you think they get American companies' food over there, like Quaker oats or Kraft Mac n' Cheese? Doubt it...

What do Chinese economic policies have to do with banning candy cigarettes in the US?

Raymond42262 12-27-2012 10:44 PM

I must be corrupted because when I read they were making 1.61 a day, I immediately started thinking of how much money there were making.....

Stankia 12-27-2012 11:47 PM

$1.61 per month??? What can you even buy in China for that money?

Lair 12-28-2012 10:02 AM

Candy cigarettes.

Amoeba 12-28-2012 12:38 PM

LOL you guys can't seriously believe this right?

Even factory workers at Foxconn gets paid ~2-3k RMB/month. That's not much but still ~$400 a month and a far cry from $1.6/month.

Look at the letter. There's zero possibility that someone working for $1/month can 1) be so literate in English, 2) have a handwriting like that, and 3) uses English-style sentence grammar constructs.

And oh yeah, it's Fox news. So there is no credibility to begin with.
