Original Lug nuts or need new ones???
So I bought a pair of 18 inch Fass rims.
They do fit my 2004 325i, However my question is do I need to purchase new lugnuts for them or can I use the originals from the car?
Is there a specific size that I need, or are there general aftermarket lugnuts?

Your car uses bolts from the factory, not nuts. The only way to confirm is to actually check with the manufacturer. If they're a standard tapered lug seat they PROBABLY reuse factory bolts, but you would need to confirm before anything.

I know that the standard size is 12x1.5 on the car currently, hexagon ones. I see some online that I can purchase that are chrome, but not sure if for aftermarket bolts I need a different size?

The thread pitch for your car is going to remain the same (12x1.5), but you need to confirm the lug seat type. It's either going to be conical or ball-seat.

This is an image of the aftermarket rim of the inside of where the bolt is to go. As you can see it is round and it also has another groove (which is the darker black rim) where the bolt will sit on. I am guessing it is a conical bolt I need to get for this rim?

The lug seat (portion where the bolt sits on) needs to be conical (also known as tapered). You might be able to tell by touching it with your finger but it's a little hard to tell by the photo posted.

Ball lub size?
Okay so it is a ball lug now the question is a standard size lug is 26mm conical
If i need a aftermarket ball lug how many mm is good? is 39mm too big? or another size will do?

VMRWheels 01-15-2013 01:06 PM

39mm is too large. You're sure they're ball seat? After looking at the photo a bit more they look like they could possibly be conical but I can't say with 100% confidence.
