My angel eye make is weischlict, they are fantastic and will run you about fifty bucks and up. I have had mine for over 3 years running on the ignition so they are constantly on. They still run amazing.

None of the current LED AE's are going to resemble your old CCFL's. While the new sets are safer, they are horribly bright, and look.....well....stupid.

When I see the newer LED sets on an E46 around town, it just reminds me of a tacky add-on I'd see on a Civic. Too bright. Just a blob of light....

Not really, you can solder resistors and other nick nacks on to reduce and channel less electricity to create a glow preferable to your taste. No BMW is too old for angel eyes, lets keep in mind they came out in the very beginning for the e36 in mind. That was before the e46 ever even came along.

That is exactly what I did to my last E46. They were very bright. I added the dimmer (except I put the dimmer in my ashtray) and kept it on low almost all the time.
Many compliments and most wondered how I got such white lights that were not blinding bright.

No and yes, they do remotely unlock/lock. There are cables included, one for ignition (the wire has easy clamps that clamp onto and through the ignition wire sheathing) and one to wire to the interior lights that allow for the unlock/lock remote effect you are looking for.

maybe check out EAS Aurora's. I dont have a set, but to me, they seem less bright, and more OEM looking. They are a bit expensive though.

Hmmm. Never heard of this, if there is a black plastic access latch beneath your glove compartment, in place of a foot well light, you can check behind it for a green wire which is what you will need to tap into it.

Aking23 12-28-2012 09:07 PM

well i just dropped my cars glove box, and saw a ton of green/ multi colored wiresX)

Aking23 12-28-2012 09:09 PM

and also under my hood theres no "little hole" where i can pass my wire through to the glove box.

You might have to run it from your hood through the quarter panel seem into your door and up into your glove box. Is there a green and brown striped wire?

Aking23 12-28-2012 09:22 PM

wow sounds pretty complicated...

and well i am looking to see and cant find one, but it must be in the biggg mess of wires down theyre

SK8URDEAD 12-28-2012 09:26 PM

should have got Khoalty's when they were $50 over 2 years ago haha. i got mine from them and they run strong and i love how they are just nice and white. not that crazy bright ass white or those that have that tint of blue...
