Mine has both and I disconnected the scanner

I know how to cheat it and I don't trust it anymore

Eh If you have any kids, I'd recommend against it because it's extremely easy to break into, and cheap....and easy to steal.

That's way less expensive than I thought many handgun safes were.

Is that a special discount price or is that how much they usually run for?

They usually run around those prices.

If you look on amazon, they can be had for like +$10-$30 easily.

I have the MiniVault and the NanoVault 100 for my car.

How do you cheat a fingerprint scanner? Lift your prints off something else?

:bump: Ordered one today from Meijer. Found an additional 10% off coupon code (10saver) valid through 4/18 for anyone else looking at picking one up.

Where's that video done at some lock convention that shows a guy demonstrating how easy it is to open these?

Cool, its a fantastic watch even though its a little long.

Funny, I rarely visit Gun Talk and just happened to be watching this video other day. It's scary how quickly some of these "safes" are defeated.

Interesting, but if someone is in my bedroom picking my lock, I have bigger problems. I use this just to keep my toddler from messing with it. Before the kids came along, I didn't lock the guns up.

david05111 04-18-2013 08:45 PM

Yep, there it is. Enlightening

ThaHooch 04-18-2013 08:53 PM

Have any of you used this or something like it? Good/bad?
