The lawlessness has nothing to do with citizens legally owning firearms. It's a result of the degradation of civility in Chicago resulting from jealousy, envy, and the dependency state not being able to give all poor people the latest Air Jordans.

I guess they didn't get the memo that the USSC just affirmed rights of citizens to own firearms in their homes, rights that cannot be infringed. And it was a case on their doorstep: McDonald v. Chicago.

I don't know what idiot is planning to introduce this, but there's really no other word for him...he's an idiot

update: lets say they allow CCW here but the stipulation is that the gun can only carry 10 rounds. what guns should i start looking into given that restriction? dont know much about eligible CCWs since it has never been possible here

Mid size or compact guns used as CCW either come with less than 10 rds or a 10 rd mag that you can buy.

Give us a budget, what you've liked thus far when shooting, etc.

looking into subcompact range, up to ~$650. tend to be most accurate with glocks (own g17, shot g26). the only other ccw ive shot is a beretta px4 sub. was comfortable and accurate enough to consider, but again, exceeds 10rds

is it practical to use a p220 as a carry weapon? it gets quite heavy when loaded

also, its dimensions are quite large

They make a smaller carry version...I'll be buying a p220 eventually I shot it great
