BMW MFest V "The Ultimatum" April 22-24, 2011 Las Vegas Nevada - YouTube
*For those on the EAST COAST cities Like :
ATLANTA, NEWARK, BALTIMORE, BOSTON, MIAMI/FT.LAUDERDALE, ORLANDO/TAMPA, Virginia Beach, TORONTO to mention a Few.
I understand that driving 3000 miles losses its appeal after 1000 miles but trust me it is worth the trip. Last April 18, 2012 I drove from Killeen, Texas with the Central Texas Mfest crew AFTER a 3-plane/ 32hr flight from Northern Afghanistan so i was Tired and worried that it would NOT meet my expectations and I was wrong!
I landed one day BEFORE we were scheduled to begin the Drive and the excitement kept me awake that whole Night. we were 6 deep from Central Texas, then met up with a few more bmw's up to the Ft.Worth meet spot #2 then another 5 cars there and rolled out of Texas 16 BMWs and 1 Porsche deep. met the El Paso crew, New Mexico crew, Florida crew and Chicago crew in a hotel 1 hr past Alburqueque, NM and we were easy 25-30 BMWs Deep all the way to Las Vegas, NV
anyway, what I'm trying to say is Im using my connections/associations in the auto transporting world to get quotes together from these cities both Open and Enclosed to help those forum members and enthusiast that want to go but do not want to drive that far alone or at all. the realistic Minimum should be 6 cars
Unofficially but i think Technica Motorsports in Atlanta is trying to make there 1st Mfest Appearance with "a couple" of there "shop cars" then another 4-6 members who would rather transport and FLY as aposed to driving. others understand that the drive to Mfest is a BIG part or worthwhile thrill and Fun of it all.
Boston - $1200
Newark/NY - $1100
Baltimore - $1000
Virginia Beach - $900
Atlanta - 10 cars (4 of which maybe from Technica Motorsports) - $700
Tampa/Orlando - $ 750
Miami / Ft.lauderdale - $850
And any other city/town that can get 6 Bmws who's rather transport as aposed to driving all the way to Las Vegas!
I will update the Price Quotes once I hear back from the Auto transporting companies that insurance checks out for validity. Personally, I enjoyed the Drive there with all the other BMW owners and would transport back home.
let me know what you guys would rather do and i will see what i can get done!
this is not NV forum...
My point is ANYONE CAN GO. if you do not want to DRIVE YOURSELF, You have the choice to auto transport your BMW.
MFest is for any and everyone not just NV folks. I'm NOT from NV and i had a hell of a time driving to MFest VI from TEXAS and meeting up with BMW owners from all over the country.
some from the east coast who wish they knew of others from the area who would have driven with them. I'm just trying to make that decision easier.
Repost from Shady1(James)
For those of you new to MFest and you live in Texas my name is Shady1 (James) I am the MFest Texas Chapter rep.
I will be leading the caravan to Las Vegas with some help from other key MFest Texas Chapter members such as Leonelhpfm3 (Rico) and 2005M3driver (Gus) we will be working together making sure everything works out good on the drive to Vegas. Last year we had a few break downs that cause a small delay in time but it was okay , because in MFest we treat everyone like family and leave no one behind on our way to Las Vegas. We always learn new things on these trips and from the last trip we know to bring some type of trailer to haul a vehicle in the event of a break down and we are going to bring our own BMW mechanic just in case :shifty: . Rico will drive his pickup truck pulling a trailer that can haul 2 cars. He will be hauling his M3 on this trailer and leaving a extra slot in the event of a break down along the way :thumbsup2:. If you have any questions or ideas you would like to share please feel free to post them on this tread. For those of you that live down in the south part of Texas I recommend you drive up to Killeen, Texas and link up with us the night prior to the roll out up to Dallas Fort Worth some of the members here in Killeen might let you crash at their house so you can rest up from your long drive from down South. For the guys and gals in El Paso, Texas you know to link up with us in Grants, NM at the hotel. Anyone else from out of state is more than welcome to link up with us as well along the way just let us know the link up point you want to meet up at. I recommend Grants, NM at the hotel.
If you have any questions just send me a PM (Private Message) and we can exchange cell phone numbers and contact information  . I look forward to seeing you on the Texas Caravan.
Here are a few pics from Last year caravan :eatpop:
