Baseball Team Salaries

Holy cow.........213M for a baseball team ? How many are on the team 32?
The Yankees have a salary obligation (213M) that is almost 5 times that of Miami (45M).

And that does not cover administration and management I guess......

Sports with no Salary Cap

This only tells me one thing, they are overcharging us for tickets, parking, drinks, and food.

Raymond42262 03-29-2013 07:23 PM

A Rod just signed a contract for 29M a year and the Houston Astros team payroll for they year is only 25M.

Is any man worth 29M a year ? Especially if he has been enduring injuries and is 37 years old ?

He signed a 6 year contract worth 137.5 million and he won't even start working until August 2013 as a result of hip surgery.

........I guess someone knows more than I do about baseball........I would have passed him up.

All the top paid Yankees players are all injured and not even playing.

Strong investment.

+1 yet most ballparks would rather have empty seats than lower prices :thumbdwn:
