interested in your front strut assemblies (strut, spring, and strut mount) Let me know how much You'd want for these. I think a fair price would be $150. PM me.

illirep 01-15-2013 10:46 PM

Not looking to part just yet.

boongsin12 01-16-2013 10:09 AM

If you do decide to sell it I would be also interested.

For what price? Is $400 shipped a fair starting point?

I would like everyone to consider at least $200 in labor to have them removed and likely $50 in fedex fees, which would leave $150 for me toa apply to a new setup.

brand new for H&R sport cup kit is only $679, just for your reference

illirep 01-16-2013 10:56 AM

I'm well aware.

But from my perspective, I'm looking at my total cost to swap a suspension, that is not in need of swapping. I'm looking at $1,000 after shipping of new, shipping of used, and labor. If I can offset that by a decent amount, I will consider it. If my suspension is only going to get me $200, and I'm out of pocket $800 for a basic cup kit, when all is said and done, it's not worth it to me. Especially from someone who perceives OEM, even if used, as better than after-market.

Bottom line, if I can do a cost effective 'upgrade', I will consider. If not, I'll be just as happy keeping my suspension as is.

I've been looking at suspension upgrades for a while and have been browsing the classifieds. You are not getting more than a couple of hundred $$ for your setup. These are just 2 in the last couple of months, where the sellers got just that. Your suspension is on the tail end of its life. So you're not going to get much for it unfortunately, sorry.

I would say $100 for the springs and I don't really see anyone wanting your shocks.
That's top end too. I sold my sport springs for $40

illirep 01-16-2013 11:35 AM

I hear you. Although I think the ZHP setup commands a premium over the regular sport suspension. And these are good for at least another 40k miles, so 'near the end of their life' is a subjective opinion.

If that is all they are worth, then I'll likely keep them. Thanks for helping me set realistic expectations.

Hmm, looks like according to all the other fellow members my offer of $200 after you replied to my post seems more than fair, but I am glad you made this post to for reassurance.

Fair or not, I'm not selling you my suspension for less than the cost of removing it and shipping it. Sorry.

Riverbmr3 01-16-2013 02:36 PM

just use it till it dies, then do the upgrade.

THECLEANERBEAMER 01-17-2013 09:58 AM

illirep 01-17-2013 10:11 AM

Well I made it clear that it was a feeler and I didn't know what they were worth. What is the point of your post? Would you like to upgrade your crappy 325i suspension?

THECLEANERBEAMER 01-17-2013 10:14 AM

eventually but with a brand new setup. definatley wouldnt spend close to 400 on your overpriced OEM suspension with 60k miles

illirep 01-17-2013 10:22 AM
