All wheel drive e46 m3 twin turbo
Traction issues have been the main concern througot my E46 M3 life.
Best 60-130 mph has been 4,23 seconds 15 months ago. Back in 2011 september, october. Wish me luck :) |
AWD TURBO E46 M3!! Wow!
|
Bada$$!!!
|
Good luck :)

insanity.. I'd love to see pics of the progress thus far. What AWD system/trans are you gonna run? BMW XI system or halfshafts for the front? But judging from the horsepower/torque you're going to put through it.....custom is most likely the answer. GL!

Wow, Sub'd for the build!
|
This thread is going to get a huge following. I am in for the build. Good luck bro, it's going to be sick if you pull this off!
|
whoa. so this is happening??? intense!!

In to watch this unfold.

Thank you all.
Been pondering about the AWD idea for the last 2 years. Last 1 year was full of plans and now execution. BMW AWD System has a constant front to rear torque distribtion. At least the ones until x-drive. stock system cant / would not hold the added torque. So we did design our own AWD system. Fabricate various parts. I was not dreaming of making my own transfer case. Will post some shots, we did make the transfer case almost from zero, by using 3 different t-cases. Its challenging, but at the same time motivating me. Front and rear tire diameters MUST be the same. Plans are 315 tires for the rear axle. 275 tires for the front axle. My GTR 35 friend who ran a 3,45 s 60-130 mph had 295 at the front and 345 at the rear. So even the AWD boys carry wide rubber. |
I wish you the best of luck Mert! I always love to see people pushing the creativity envelope.

Hi Mert how are you? Congratulations on your new project, i like the idea of creating a awd twinturbo M3 it will be unique. But i think it is not worth the effort. You could have solved the traction problems with a solid axle, different suspension and new rear fenders for serious tires.
Please put alot of pictures so all the forum can enjoy this build. When do you want me to ship you the carbon hood and diffuser what are you waiting for ? :D Good luck |
Subbed. Amazing project. Cant wait to see the results.

Basar, You are right at the beginning of testing, although you have not started road tests brother :) You need to eat too much bread, 40 full backhouses:) k***305;rk f***305;r***305;n ekmek :pimpin: I am at the end of RWD testing :) Been testing RWD M3s since 1998. Have you seen any RWD car with a solid axle faster than AWD cars on road surface, not at the drag strip? I have not. Have you seen a solid axle RWD car on the highway beating a gallardo TT or a highly modified GTR? I have not. The only RWD car beating a gallardo TT has been a c6 vette at the last tx mile. It was an IRS car as well, not a solid axle. Photos wont come, only a few. I want to keep the Project as "protected" as possible. Too much energy, brain storming, R&D went into this Project. Its one off a kind, and I want to keep it as a closed Project. But I promise to make top quality videos. You ll be lucky to see XM3 in drag races @ Ankara. Quote:

Thank you all. |
def. in.
if its real..... |
This is exciting! Wish you the best of luck. Heck, if the build is successful you could make a killing by reproducing the drivetrain parts, electronics, and selling them. And I agree with you, that's about the only way to take it to the TT Gallardo's and GTR's. I don't know much about your setup, but the S54 hasn't been known to make a lot of torque, I figure you'll need to make a little more to roll with those heavy weights at least in the 1/4.
