E46 325ci xenon problem
I just replaced the d2s bulbs in my car with Philips. When I did the passenger side the low beam assembly inside was sloppy. I took the ignitor off for more room. I can move the low beam part side to side and whatnot. It is very sloppy. Is there a mount it mounts to.
The driver side is not like this. It is sturdy in there. |
it mounts to a metal cage that holds the projector. usually that is very firm. the only other thing i can think of is that you broke the arm that allows for up/down adjustment.
I just bought the car and it was already like this I just found out when I went to replace the bulb.
Do I need to pull the headlight off car and take it apart to fix it |
yea pretty much. you'll need to bake the headlight to even see what the problem is.
Bake the headlight?
to take the headlight lens off. i'm assuming the car in your profile is correct. in which it is a facelift coupe with sealed headlights
Ohh really might just be easier to buy a used headlight
i guess, but it could just be nothing or small fix. probably save you some money. though if you were intent on buying a used headlight anyways, this would be a good time to learn how to bake your headlights in case you want to install angel eyes later
