I've been a Stars fan for 2 decades as that's my hometown.

Thrashers moved to WPG

Ya pretty embarrassing a city of 5,000,000 couldn't support a team that a city of 700,000 can.

ATL proper has <500k people, and the Metro area is like 8th or 9th largest in the US.

DFW is 4th largest metro area behind NYC, LA, and Chicagoland.

Dallas Metro area has WAY more people. Atlanta isn't much of a pro sports town as it is - nobody is from here and they fly their home flag. Most my hockey pals here are from WSH and PIT.

We made some serious line changes this year giving up Ribero and Ott, but we got Rome, Whitney, Eakien, and Jagr.

We just resigned Benn too.

Things will hopefully get better as the teams all get some chemistry time together.
