Best Place to Buy: MS Office 2012
Not interested in pirated software. It must be legitimate. It's for an Acer Aspire One running Windows 7. The person it's for is still in school and has access to a .edu email account.
Where is the best place to buy it given the above? TIA  EDIT: Appears that there is a newer version out. So I guess I'd be looking for Office Professional 2013 |

Edit: After looking at the Office 2013 previews, I'll stick with my current version. I really dislike to new Win 8 style interface. |
That student deal is quite the package, including the Skype minutes every month. Not that most students wont have a cell phone but I like the overall concept of the deal.
Some universities offer office for free to their students. I know this is not the case every where, however not horrible to ask. Girlfriend at the time went to a school that gave out flash drives w/ the install files and rented them out for a couple days, it was how I got all my software  |
try your school's bookstore

Make nice with one of the developers in your company's IT department and get a key from his MSDN subscriber account.

The student deal is so we get used to the software, and buy for life. Jokes on them, school taught me how to pirate.

I have a download of the software if you're interested. Will sell for cheap. Have pics if receipt from staples
