There is AppVV (vShare). It's better than Install0us since it's DDL and no stupid catchpas and dead links. I have it on my iPad 3 and it rocks!

Also, do not update via OTA to 6.1. You need to update via iTunes, that way your SHSH blobs can be captured by Cydia. It is highly recommended that you start with a fresh install before jailbreaking.

I tried to D/L TinyUmbrella for my PC yesterday and the install was asking for some JVM and didnt install. Any ideas?

I keep getting this error msg when opening Vshare..

vshare download error can't download data..I checked my host file and it's pretty much empty. also added repocydia.com, installed vshare, removed appsync 5.0 and reinstalled with no luck.. still no luck. any ideas?

So, with installous being down, what is the value added? My iPhone4 got significantly slower after I jailbroke it so I'm hesitant to do it on the 5

AppVV is the alternative.

Jailbreak does nothing more than allow you to install third party apps and tweaks. What you put on it dictates the performance of your iDevice. Just like a computer, if you put too many "pretty looking apps", you will get a hit in performance.

I, for one, miss BiteSMS and I'm jailbreaking solely for that Cydia app.

Check out Dreamboard! It's the updated version of Winterboard :thumbsup:

Another great Cydia app is IntelliID. It gives you Caller ID information on all phone numbers that are not in your Contacts. Very useful.
