330xi lowering issues?
Hey guys I'm new hear and about to own my first bmw, a 2001 330xi, I wanted to go for the 330i but living in upstate New York I have to deal with snow heavily in the winter months, so my question is, I've heard that the XI's suspension is a bit whacky and you can't lower them very far without risking tires, CV boots and ball joints is this true? I only want like a 1-1.5 inch drop but don't want to cause issues to my drivetrain. Thanks.

yes its true

The simple answer is yes, it's true. You're in NY - why would you lower it anyway with all the $h!tty roads we have here anyway?

Upstate roads aren't that bad lol at least rochester, and I know lowering anything will add stress but would a one inch drop really be that bad?

bump. i am wondering the same thing!
