Wax your wiper arms.
I was waxing the car the other day, and while hitting the hood, I got some wax on one of my wiper arms. When waxing, ive always instictively avoided black stuff. Crap. Well, not crap after all. Mine were a touch faded and I was considering getting new ones. The spot I wiped the wax from looked great. I did the rest of the arms and they look as good as new. I seems simple, but if yours are faded, give it a shot.

I usually wipe them down with 3M cleaner that for the seats . Works. Doesn't look like Armor All invasion.

this just seems silly to me, but in the interest of OCD you might as well do it... or repaint them... I would definitely never replace something solely based on a faded appearance. most aesthetic items can be reconditioned... that's 2 cents worth right there... kudos for finding a cheaper alternative though. happy accident.

I use chemical guys VRP dressing. It usually lasts 3 months and keeps them looking new. Same stuff I use on tires but the gel is easy to work with IMO.

I can't tell you how I treat my wiper arms...you wouldn't understand.
Do you have a bmw shrine in your home? |
