I washed my car today and made a quick video just now. do you guys keep your paint nice and waxed? the wax i use is apparently extremely (like on the extreme end of durability) so I like it. thanks to my friend B for recommending it. anyway cool video of beading action.

I use P21S 100% Carnauba wax after claying & polishing.

Back in the old days when I used Eagle 1 nano wax, which I thought was pretty good for a spray on wax. Here it is at 3 weeks:

So but seriously though the texture and quality of the paint looked great in the video, imagine what that would look like in person!

Have you every worked with meguiars wax mango? Not the spray but the yellowish substance

My car always has a base coat of Black Fire WD. Then for a topper I use either autoglym HD, pinnacle souveran, or P21S, depending on my mood

Ramtin, I've used Meguiars Tech Wax before. Only meguiars wax i've used, really.

Nice thing about Fern Green...no one looks at it, so I don't have to be fussy about wax. It's so ugly...I don't want to call attention to it...just protect the paint.

Trust me, it's way too small to see anything.

How long does it take you to wax? Do you clay each time?

I use spray wax after every wash. Doesn't take me longer than 15-20 minutes. I use a paste wax every 3-6 months which takes significantly longer. I clay and polish every 6 months. Claying takes hours.

If so: Not too long. IW is fairly easy to use.

directed at anyone who waxes their car. i don't wax as much as i'd like to because i feel the need to clay before and that takes a dauntingly long time.

I use this same wax but I can't seem to get the same results you do. maybe I am doing it wrong? or maybe I need to use that follow up product.

Nice beading. I try to keep mine slick to the point where I can't lay a microfiber towel on it without it slipping off.

You really might want to be very careful about writing stuff like this around here. I'd bet you have about 20 PMs in your box right now...am I right?

They swept the beagle thing under the rug pretty quickly, but I know they're more fearful about autophilia issues coming out more publicly.

You can't put a layer of wax or sealant on your car(well you definitely shouldn't) unless you clay because you will trap all of those bonded contaminants under that layer of protection and it will just dig into your paint, claying is annoying but to the guy that said it takes hours??? It should take about 45 mins for any e46 and your car will love you for it.

Also, mango it's good to see your paint looks as good as your cooling system ;) :thumbsup:

Dish detergent and steel wool. Does wonders.
