WTB 325iT Wagon, 5 speed, Sport Pkg Will Travel

Looking for a clean e46 Touring

Must haves:
5 speed
Sport Package
RWD
Sunroof
Well-maintained

Plusses:
Low mileage
Cold weather package

I'm a mature buyer with cash willing to travel for the right car. (I'm located in northern NJ.) Not particular about colors, but I am willing to be patient to get a clean car with just the right options (passed up an otherwise perfect wagon go because it didn't have a sunroof.)

Still looking.

Avincent check this out:

I was told by locals he is a real stand up guy and the car is great.

Very interesting car, and thanks for sharing. I imagine that's a really fun car, but 'm looking for a wagon that's a little closer to stock.

Cool, just figured I'd pass it on.

WTB Wagon

I'm deploying soon and am considering selling my '01 325i, 5speed, cold weather pkg, sport package, sunroof, 108k, bone stock drive train, lowered a bit, new paint (satin roof), m3 bumper, etc.
If your interested I'll give you a full run down. Good luck with your search.

Mike
Nice car. A few quick questions. Is the paint black, or a dark blue or something.
What color is the interior?

Can you give me a sense of what kind of major work was done:
clutch? cooling system? suspension? fuel pump?
And a ballpark price?

smuggler617 04-02-2013 03:45 PM

The car has:
-5 speed - previous owner had the clutch replaced fairly recently.
-Sun roof.
-Suspension and brakes have all been replaced.
-108,000 miles.
-Drive train is bone stock and unmolested.
-Eibach springs - alignment in spec.
-Pre-facelift M3 rep front bumper.
-M3 rep mirrors.
-style 137 wheels, front tires are 225's at about 75%. Rears are 255 with 15mm ecs spacers tires have about 4000 miles on them.
-Iphone connector - I ran it up through the center console.
-I have all the service records from the first owner going back to 2001 about $9500 in receipts just for maintenance.
-It has the oem rear pull over cover with dog net.
-The spare and all the tools are all in tact.
-I just put a brand new hella oil level sender in it.
-Oem bmw rubber floor mats.
-all windows, locks and door handles work.
-Pulley all recently redone.

-Interior is Tan/cream colored. It has heated sport seats with adjustable leg bolsters Its in pretty good shape. It has a bit of normal wear tear on the drivers bolster, and a couple nicks here and there but over all I'd give it a 8/10. Brand new A-pillars, Carbon wrapped trim, LED interior light kit, BMW OEM short weighted shift knob.

-Exterior - is 9.5+ Gloss black new paint. The roof, accents, and trim are egg shell black with clearcoat not spray bomb. The tails and the markers are somewhere between eggshell and semi gloss finish also with clearcoat.

-Looking for somewhere between $8-9K. I still have a loan out on it but can pay it off and have the title in hand in 24 hours.

Sport Package
Homelink
Cold Weather package - heated seats
Xenon head lights
Dinan Muffler
ZHP shift knob
545i short shift kit
166k miles
BBS LM REP wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport a/s tires

Is this a trend with the matte black roofs on these wagons?
Both very nice cars, but I'm holding out for something a little newer and with lower mileage.

I did it because I wanted a different look. I tried to search for other wagons like mine, but I couldn't find any..

I also removed my roof rails at the same time to gain a few MPG's.

avincent52 04-04-2013 03:03 PM

As you can see, there are two in this thread.
I find e46 wagons plenty rare, but to each his own.
I prefer the utility of the roof rails for bike, boards or a box, but again a matter of personal preference.
GLWS. They're both solid wagons that'll make the new owners very happy.

terzinator 04-04-2013 03:14 PM

I'll keep my eye out for you, too!

I'd love to see that army green one with the plasti-dip peeled off. I bet it's lovely in Orient Blue.

avincent52 04-07-2013 05:39 AM

True dat. Orient blue > Camo green.
But your wagon is the one that has me holding out for one that's closer to 50K miles than 100K.
I was in Detroit a couple weeks back, talking BMWs with one of the guys there, and he made me feel better by agreeing that the sunroof is a deal breaker for him too.
His argument to his sunroof delete purist friends: Sure, you're saving 30 pounds without a sunroof, but what about the 40 pounds around your gut?

avincent52 04-10-2013 01:07 PM

bump

avincent52 04-19-2013 07:02 AM

You've got a super clean low mileage e46 wagon with a 5 speed and sports package.
(...and a sunroof and cold weather package: A guy can dream, can't he?)
I've got money.
Let's trade.

coco savage 04-19-2013 07:05 AM

Damn. all these wagons make me want one. Any near Florida

avincent52 04-19-2013 11:18 AM

Coco. If you just *want* one, you're better off buying a sedan or a coupe. Much more to choose from.
I've got kids and a dog and it's either a wagon or a dog-forsaken SUV.

I possibly want one ...that's a wagon. :)
