Walther PPX?
Possibly looking to pick one up...
..anyone on here have one, or familiar with them? I was looking at the PPQ originally, but the PPX is quite a bit cheaper - and according to my gun shop, sees no reason for a guy like me to spend more on the PPQ. Any comments? I may also potentially pick up a Sig Mosquito they have down there for my wife. Depending on how deep she lets me dig into the tax refund.... |
BOND. James Bond.
Go for the sig. |

Plus...as soon as she gets proficient with the guns she has, always an excuse to buy more. |

Only go for the sig mosquito if you need practice clearing malfunctions, don't want to hit your target and have a lot of cci mini mags only

I didn't want to be the one to say it. Get a Ruger Mark III or Browning Buckmark instead. As for the Walter, I don't like their mag releases being located on the trigger guard (personal preference), so I haven't handled them since the PPS came out years ago. |
Friend just got this:
M&P 22 http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/images/72002.jpg I like it. No problems with decent ammo. |

One disclaimer....I ONLY feed the sig CCI minimags. I have heard that it HATES other ammo. Luckily, minimags are easy to find. I have about 2500 rounds which I use for both my 10/22 and the Sig. http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...psbf5a8185.jpg |
Yeah, The Walther is for me... Glad nobody is shying me away here..
The Sig Mosquito would purely be for the wife and to help her acclimate to firearms. Right now she's only get a Ruger 10/22 that she hasn't even shot yet (the joys of Christmas presents, a wife that hates cold weather, and a solid Wisconsin winter). My shop normally carries CCI ammo... and I have a thing of it somewhere. I shoot cheap Skorpion ammo from the 10/22, but if I know the Mosquito is finicky, no issue getting the right ammo for it once some comes in.... no bid deal. |
I vote the original PPQ. The trigger is amazing

Whats up? |
My wife ended up choosing between a sig mosquito and Ruger SR-22. She got the Ruger and has been really happy with it (me too:eeps:)

PPX is $449.00 out the door. The few reviews I've found mostly talk about the trigger on the PPX too. I'm still leaning this way... likely calling the LGS tomorrow to put my name on one. |

Where do you go shooting? I normally shoot on some private property - but last time I went out shooting, I got "restricted" to 10-shots. lol I may buy the thing this weekend. |

Wakther PPX in 9mm or 40 is brand new. I have seen some reviews, but would rather have a Glock. The grip looks funky to me. They did go the the American mag release though. I never had an issue with the European HK or Walther mag release. Does confuse alot of people the first time how to get the mag out though...ROFLOL....and the second time....they usually get it on the 3rd time.
