Recommend me a good calcium supplement/vitamin

Ok so I recently broke my ankle, doctor says I can lift while in a boot but to be careful, but he also said to take extra calcium (he recommended just a multi vitamin). Anyone on here have any other/better suggestions?

I take opti-men multi vitamin. I have tried many brands, I like it the most.

Eat lots of kiwi, it has a **** load of calcium. And of course milk if you can.

I am listening to my doctor, he said to take a multi vitamin, I was asking for some recommendations as he didn't specify.

Multi-vitamin will help absorption of the calcium and boron that help with bone building. Other things like vitamin K also assist with bone healing. I have a list somewhere from when I did some research....

Basically, in addition to the multi-vitamin, get a calcium tablet such as:
http://ethicalnutrients.com.au/conte...lder-vitamin-d

and this is the multi-vitamin that I'm using:
http://ethicalnutrients.com.au/conte...per-multi-plus

they are both high potency - the multi helps with minerals and other supplements which assist with absorption of the calcium tablets.

Also add dark green leafy vegetables to your diet e.g. spinach. I'll find some info that I was reading and send it over to you.

For me, I can say that changing my diet and adding the supplements worked. I am back on my feet and wore both my shoes for the first time in 5 weeks 2 days ago and it felt great to stand straight again. I'm not 100% yet because now there is muscular pain and degradation to recover from, but I'm happy with what I've done and how I'm feeling so far. Still not working my foot to the fullest yet but not far off either.

Thanks for the info, picked up a multi vitmain today, just a One a Day Mens vitamin and some Caltrate 600 + D Tablets.

Cool.

Just note that the calcium may block you up a bit.

Also... the healing process is taxing on your body consuming a lot of your energy so don't be surprised if you're feeling tired or lethargic.

can someone ban this usana idiot

bxny1984 05-15-2013 12:03 PM

So I'm an idiot because I saw first hand products that worked for my son who had cancer and am recommending it to someone else? WOW yet you are calling me an idiot. I don't even sell usana so I could give two ****s and a **** if anyone uses it.

You wrote:

"I can vouch for USANA. My son who had terminal cancer was taking another brand of vitamins from vitamin shoppe and another time from GNC and they weren't doing anything but making him feel worse. Then someone introduced me to USANA who his son was going through the same thing and I noticed my son was able to hold down his meals and had much more energy. Now he is cancer free. The vitamins didn't cure the cancer but they prevented him from getting sick by strengthening his immune system. Now I take USANA and work the USANA business part-time and make over $1,000/wk."

You bumped a 5 year old thread to post that, clearing searching for USANA.

Excuse me but the evidence against you is overwhelming... Apr/13 join date, bumping 5 year old threads to post about USANA, and only commenting on threads regarding it. You also stated you work the business and "make over $1000 a week". Now you are saying you don't even sell it?

Don't mess with the foodie :eeps:

bxny1984 05-15-2013 12:18 PM

Again how is taking something I know that works for my son being an idiot?

bxny1984 05-15-2013 12:22 PM

he just asked for a recommendation I gave one that I know worked for my son first hand. If you don't like what you see in this forum get the **** out simple as that.

Your best bet would be to go to your doctor and have him look up a vitamin brand from his Physician's Desk Reference

This thread proves the following:

testosterone level for BMW drivers is greater than average.

testosterone level for M3 drivers is greater than BMW drivers.

testosterone level for people in H&F is greater than M3 drivers.

:D

Broke my ankle almost 3 months ago, it's healed.

That's great to hear. But if you ever need to find out or know anyone that ever needs to find out about what would be the best supplements to take the Physicians Desk Reference is the place to get the best recommendations
