djnekkon 03-13-2013 10:16 PM

ICONIKE46 03-13-2013 10:51 PM

Glad ur okay atleast! As for fixing it like new...? I dunno about that one homie, but if so more power to ya and GL

latino1ny 03-14-2013 02:47 PM

Did the airbags deploy? If so good luck fixing it..... but if they didn't deploy, after an impact like that, I'd question our car's safety system :eeps: What's the back story on this? How fast were you going and how much did you have to drink?

kwlaznkid 03-14-2013 04:01 PM

push for it to be totaled man, you don't want a car after an accident like that

AaronAlexander 03-14-2013 04:13 PM

I drifted into a pole LOL. I really miss it sometimes tho

It looked pretty nice before other than the bumper sagging

First thing that is on my mind would you be able to get the wheels alignment properly? Another thing the engine is moved for sure, so that's a lot of work plus some $$$, so you will ended up like buying a better car for the money, that you will spend to fix this car. It's all about money, if you have then do it.

Damn u guys posting pictures of your totaled BMW's breaks my heart, damn I just realized that today is my 1 year of being accident free :) my accident was pretty minor though, thank GOD :D last picture is how she currently looks

j@fer87nyc 03-14-2013 10:23 PM

Thank you guys for the feedback i walked out ok but the airbag didn't deploy because the pax occupancy sensor wasn't working on the pax side where the hit is at there is no frame nor engine damage luckily and I got the whole right side front clip for $259 from a junkyard and also the whole nose for about 5 hundred then front bumper and fender were given to me by my cousin who has the same car but did an m3 conversion and under the hood I'm missing the emissions sensor and the windshield washer fluid parts and I guess other things there that I guess I'll get little by little.
And as of how fast was I going it must have been like 50.

Oh damn that sucks, hopefully you have good insurance, but yeah you're lucky you can get parts for that cheap. And by right side front clip do you mean the axle?

oAllElseFailo 03-14-2013 10:41 PM

and i bet the SUV walked away with just little scratches lol

j@fer87nyc 03-15-2013 12:40 AM

No I mean the side of the car from the firewall forward where the strut tower goes but I haven't found out the axel yet.

j@fer87nyc 03-15-2013 12:42 AM

Tyra the SUV had only a broken bumper and the muffler support also broke so the muffler was hanging but that's all the damage it had

BBBoy323i 03-15-2013 01:30 AM

Wait, doesn't that mean your frame is bent?

j@fer87nyc 03-15-2013 08:46 AM

Well you see many time that you see a car and let's say one of the doors or the trunk is not aligned properly with the rest of the car that means the frame might be a bent
If its a big gap between body panels that means its a bigger issue with the frame or chassis whoever you choose to call it

Tonk 03-15-2013 10:15 AM

Luckily I haven't been in any bad accidents like that, but here are a few pics of my mom's first Z3 about 13 years ago. An older woman in a Ford Taurus passed out at the wheel and hit my mom head on. Combined speeds between the two cars was around 55 mph. My mom had a seltbelt bruise on her chest, and that was it. She had the car for six weeks, and it was a fight to get it totaled but insurance finally did because there was frame damage. She raplaced it with a light blue one.

Wow that's bad...
This is a really sad thread I started, I'm regretting it. I gotta look at my car like that every time I open this thread.
