HPF running lean but only under very slight acceleration...

It's possible im just losing it but I noticed a couple day ago that my stage 2.5 is runnning crazy lean, but only under a light load at low rpm...

It idles fine and cruises great, and on boost is spot on but if im just accelerating slowly at low rpms (like normal city driving) it goes super lean like above 16.

Anybody else had any similar issues?

Mine did something like that for a long time, but I never worried about it. But after I changed my fuel regulator out I noticed that lean issue seemed to disappear.

Fixed. Turned out to be a bad wideband sensor

Do you run a lot of race fuel (110L)? Wonder if it just coated the sensor is all.

once the afr gauge read 16 or above, is your car run like a crap as well? i.e. surging/hesitate throttle.

%90 of the time it runs fine. But yes sometimes there is a little hesitation and surging.

Jumper harness. Jumper to ecm. Smaller connector. Fourth wire from bottom right. Bad continuity. No joke lol

Checked continuity on all wires on both harnesses and every wire is good...

andynb 03-31-2013 05:28 PM

So I took out my aem yesterday to check the harness but i didn't really do anything and once I put it back together it ran perfect.

but today I took it out again to clean all the connections because I figured that's what it must have been and I put dielectric grease on them and now itsback to runnning lean...

Commanderwiggin 03-31-2013 05:31 PM

I think you found your problem...mabe send your harness/ems to get checked out if you can't resolve it.

andynb 03-31-2013 06:30 PM

Yup I believe you're right

Sorry i didnt get back to you. Continuity isn't the issue in whole. You got continuity but did you use a buzzer or actually read it. Your not getting enough. Those connectors in the harness. The one that is like eight inches long suck. The more you remove it and put it back on the more your going to **** it up. Factory connector side is good its the stupid white connector side that has the cheapest connectors in it. The ones that plug into jumper box. Best thing is to get a new harness put it on, zip tie it and never touch it again. I sourced better connectors just have not got to replacing them all.

By the way just so its clear. Its the little copper connectors on the end of each wire that is inside the white connector that plugs into jumper box. They are weak and provide no spring action in them to push against tabs in the jumper box. They are also weak dielectirc grease is a bad idea because the connectors are so weak you could possible made a barrier of grease between contacts.
