Window/door problem

So it looks like the "party" has started for my BMW. After owning it for 5 months and only at 50k miles it developed an issue. Looking to see if anyone has any pointers on how to fix it before I have to take it to a shop and get raped.

Problem:
The dash indicator shows that the passenger door is open. Therefore the passenger window doesnt go all the way up. Its like that 75% of the time altough sometimes it turns off, window goes up and all is good for a while. There are times where the door light keeps going on/off constantly . I am guessing its a sensor. Did anyone have this problem and fixed it on their own ? Thanks.

Same here

i am having the same problem. it's with my drivers side door. about 2 months ago I replaced my door's lock actuator because the motor was getting weak and it stopped locking the door. Now im thinking this new actuator (OEM) has failed. I am not sure if the GM5 module could be causing this.. I don't think so. if the dash indicator says door is open and the window won't go up all the way, then the sensor in the door lock actuator has failed and there is nothing you can do to repair it since its a sealed unit. Any thoughts?

Yeah, it stopped acting up on its own, so I got lucky. (at least for now)
