Metal sound from rear

Hello guys,

i have e46 325 cabrio and today i was driving topless and heard some noise from rear. It was random and sounds like metal was hitting metal. When i came home i try to push a car down and i did not hear anything. But then I kick in rear tire(left side if you look at the face of the wheel). and heard this sound again. But when i kick it again on the other side(right side if you look at the face of the wheel) i did not heard anything.
Do you have any idea what this could be? And if it's possible, give me part. no. please:thumbsup:

Tnx,
Miha

Next time, pull the e-brake gently and see if the noise changes or goes away.

Could also just be worn out brake pads. The wheel needs to come off to have a look around and make sure nothing is broken, binding, or worn out.

Brake shims knocked during last pad change?

Inspect your subframe around where the bushings are on the rear axle carrier.
