Fitness Blog ideas

A friend of mine approached me and asked me if I'd be willing to do stuff on a fitness blog he wants to start. He's into this stuff and computer literate which I am not. We'd pretty much be 50/50 on it. Not concerned about money. Just looking for ideas about what people would like to see. Also we have no idea what to name it so ideas would be great. If anyone would like to contribute write ups I'm sure that could be worked in as well. And Greg, if you see this I'm sure we will talk up your Spun apparel too.

A good "how to" on some common movements that people are most prone to do incorrectly. I'm thinking squats, dead lifts, etc. I know after having done squats for years for some reason I've been having trouble with them and having lower, right back pain afterwards.

I may need to get comfortable with explaining how to do things on camera lol

Fitness Blog ideas

I think for your situation, you might have more success on providing cheap DIY fitness ideas. There are so many people who do blogs already, the competition is rediculous and they all say the same things. Maybe contact companies to be a beta tester of products and supplements and do video/written reviews on it. You can do DIY wall bals, DIY home gym, DIY pull up bar, DIY rings, and whatever cheaper alternatives. At the end of the day, it's an expensive hobby and people are looking for the cheap alternatives.

I agree it needs to be more specialized, in your case the at home workout/gym route would be a great way to go.

Instantly thought of ROI since everyone and their dog has a fitness blog, I just don't see it paying off

With blogs, all it really takes is interesting content. Doesn't even have to be groundbreaking. If you get traffic, you can make money.

Of course, creating interesting content is like creating good advertising...a healthy dose of both skill and luck/timing.

havent even heard from the dude so I'm not even considering this thing at this point.

You should do a blog talking about starting your gym and then your L1 and then trying to open an affiliate. You'd get a **** ton of traffic on that.

Buying equipment, navigating all the BS you need to deal with, Legalzoom, the tax stuff, etc.
