Possible Thermostat faulty?

When driving the temp needle on the dash is in the normal position.

However when turning the heaters on the needle starts to go down towards the cold zone. Also heaters aren't pumping out much hot...

Also if the petrol station pump is clicking when im re-fueling and its due to a full right side tank, surely it should still flow in easily and fill up the left...
