I would have them put new ones on. On my RV, they say the longer they sit without use the quicker the rubber deteriorates. Even without the weight of a car, the rubber will dry out.

Mine was 7, then came the audio upgrade and it died. I'm pretty sure keeping it away from the engine heat is the key. I just got mine from Costco. Not expensive considering how long they last.

Sound Ordnance B-8PT. Fits perfect in the rear seat when the arm rest is down. Sounds great, too.
