Great idea but it only works on paper. The metal is too soft and pretty tough to get the correct measurement. For how often you will work on our car, I say go OEM all the way for this.

Brass bleeder screws are nice. Great accent to the engine bay. I was happy when I replaced my Vanos oil line; the new one has chrome fittings and adds a nice look to the bay as well.

Eh, depends where you get it. I found some blank keys that worked fine. They were cheap so I bought several of them in case the quality wasn't that good. First two I tried worked like a charm.

Vanos seals were $60 and took 6 hours of time to install. No idea how much a dealer would charge, but I would expect much, much more since they would just replace the whole vanos unit.

Happened to me and it was a vanos seal issue. Had nothing to do with AC. If it was a cold start and I didn't drive it right away the car would idle rough and eventually die out.

Look up the E46 oil change DIY and they will show you how to replace it. I could do it in 1 minute, and that includes cleaning the oil off. You just need a 36mm socket and ratchet.
