pretty common "vibration on acceleration" usually equates to a bad axle. I would not call the $250 wasted, you do have new ti rods now.. even if it didn't solve the problem. Looks in the XI fourm. ...

Could simply be air in the system. Inspect all the coolant system parts, coolant level, bleed the system, etc. before assuming the HG.

Start with a wheel balance and an alignment. Probably not your brake rotors, as you were not applying the brakes. But could be many other things... suspension, control arms, tie rods, FCAB, etc.

Common issue, bad detent springs. My car does he same. Some had luck changing the fluid. Only worth the price to fix if your replacing the clutch as well.

For the shaking while accelerating...get wheels balanced, check for bent rims, check FCAB's, check axels. Have the run-out on the brake rotors measured and replace if necessary, that was my shaking...

Have the current owner/dealer get a PPI done at the local BMW dealer or BMW Indy shop. You can foot the bill to have it done if your really interested in the car.

Yes. Bad sensor = yellow light after start up. Low oil = yellow light after shutdown.
