Re: Header install, o2's...

Awesome! I have a fully stock setup with butterfly valve delete, I think it sounds great. Its not too loud when driving around under 3k, but once you hit it hard it sounds like a louder stock exhaust...

Re: Header install, o2's...

Good deal, I'll probably run to Lowes and pick up some supplies to shield them a bit.. are yours touching your headers too?

Re: Header install, o2's...

I actually found a bung that he "missed".... I got it in without even taking the headers off...the light is gone, however he ran the o2 sensor wiring down IN BETWEEN two header pipes.
Couldn't this...

Re: Header install, o2's...

Okay, so turns out I can route the missing sensor anywhere in the stream. I will have him weld in a bung at the start of the section 1 as stated.

I need to extend the wires for the oxygen sensor...

Re: Header install, o2's...

He's saying there's no room for that, I'm not sure why.. can someone explain to me specifically what this oxygen sensor does?

Does the welding past the header trick not work?

Re: Header install, o2's...

He told me if I got an extension for the pre-cat o2, he could weld it in PAST the headers into the very beginning of the section 1 exhaust. would this be okay?

Header install, o2's...

I had a mechanic install eBay headers, and he told me that he could only get one pre-cat sensor in, and NEITHER of the post-cat sensors. I now have a p0050 code...

What's the best way of solving...

Re: Parts list for upcoming project..

Headers are done!

The driveshaft turns counterclockwise when looking from behind the car (diff side), correct? Need to know for sure I'm mounting the flex disc properly.

Re: Are these header gaskets OEM?

Don't I have to remove the heat shields from the OEM gaskets to get clearance for aftermarket headers?

Re: Are these header gaskets OEM?

Yep, sorry about that!

Okay, I guess I'll tell the shop to just snap the header to exhaust studs, and I'll order in some gaskets (stealer wanted 50 each!)

I'll probably try to do the work...

Re: E46 m3 lsd (oem) 55k

You'd have to do an entire rear end swap, with subframe to use an M diff, to my knowledge.
