I tried a 330 MAF, won't work

I tried this about three years ago with a 330 airbox, maf, and intake tube which connects to the 325 throttle tube. You just have to tighten down the throttle tube clamp.

The car won't stay...

Insurance companies are terrible

Geico for example wanted $2k and definitely not a savings.

After a back and forth with Liberty Mutual, they can not figure out why my insurance went up $1k. My wife's two incidents were only $1k...

Having trouble, I need to replace a corrupt start cable that runs on top

I have a 325ci and I need to replace the started cable that routes through the manifold and to the starter.

The plastic site cover that surrounds the brake resevoir area with the two twist-offs...

Yes, correction

I used the term "running voltage" when referring to the battery. Yes if the car is running, the voltage input to the battery will be greater than 12 volts. The voltage output from the battery should...

I can assure you that I have a rebuilt OEM Bosch

Apparently NAPA is outsourcing rebuilds, I can't remember the name of the company the parts person told me. I can tell you that the altenator I received IS a rebuilt OEM Bosch. The housing and...

Still waiting on the underwriting group

One rep told me that Liberty Mutual changed systems and the wrong rate codes may have been entered for a bunch of people.

This is the part that kills me these days, you can put in the wrong codes...

Update

Albiet I don't have a new cable on yet, rigging the cable back on I'm getting 14.1-14.2 volts on the highway. The volts do dip to high 13's when idle. So all is normal but I need to get the new cable...

No I don't and its been years since then.

I pulled it years (at least four/fiveor more) ago since the technolgy wasn't proven and didn't want to affect components or warranty at the time. BUT....when I pulled it however I did not see any...

Cool, thanks

We'll see what they come back with. The customer service agents have no clue since nothing changed on my policy and I don't show points against us though they spew generalities out of their mouths...

Thanks for the help/confirmation.

I wasn't sure if the cable went to the starter or somewhere else. When it exits the jumper box it snakes down into the engine. I'm hoping this will be relatively easy to fix. Likely I'll need to...

New belts shouldnt make noise

All three times I've changed belts and others I've heard from, no one has noisy belts. Likely the wrong belt size or there is a problem with the tensioner and you need a new one. Also maybe a cheap...

We have little credit card debt. Credit card serves only for using it for reward points to get store gift and gas cards ($900 this year) and paid at the end of the month. Other than that, zero debt...

Yeah I called them and first off they didn't know why

I'm thinking what you said might be right. There is no reason for my rates to go up so high. We did have a few incidents but with accident forgiveness it shows they charged no points.

This morning I'm charging the new battery

The new autozone battery was at 50% when I hooked it up. When I re-looked at the OEM battery, the dot looked black in daylight to me so I think the OEM was in the process of dying. Why would the new...

I don't have a voltage tester

Its surprising that putting on a remanufactured altenator as clean as this one is would be faulty especially from NAPA.

So far again, I've put on new voltage regulator on the OEM altenator, tried...

That's the obvious but not so obvious

LM with the BMW discount has provided great rates over the years. If rates went up, it should have gone up for all insurance companies unless you individually have had many accidents or incidents.

So now I'm...
