trunk wont open

Would appreciate help on this one. Trunk will not open with key fob or button under dash. Will open manually. I checked the fuse (#52) - is ok. Lock is not in valet mode... I looked at the trunk...

if both flicker at the same time it is not the ballasts. the ground wire replacement for the tail light cluster fixed my xenon problem, the fast turn signal problem and the random passenger tail...

I would appreciate some help with solving a CEL. Came on about 4 months ago with a 1189 code after I did not put on the gas cap correctly. Reset using my ODB II and all has been fine until recently....

on my 1999 each side has an LCM that can be reset using a test tool. i suggest you check check error codes. still sounds like a ground or bad bulb in rear. suggest changing bulbs both sides first...
