Doesn't burn or leak oil so I have no reason to change.

You need to go to a shop and have them read the ABS codes. That is the only way to get a reliable diagnosis. Regular OBD II reader for engine codes will not work.

M1 0-40 in the engine. No oil consumption to speak of at 249K miles.

Leaks like this don't usually result in enough oil loss to see at the dipstick. If that is your main problem I would look elsewhere.

Having said that, I replaced my oil pan gasket and it solved...

They are solid, but drivability/harshness is still very good.
