Recently did mine on our 02 325it(220000 km) while I was in doing starter,it had previously frozen on a -30c startup and caused a massive Hg leak,which basicallywent away after it thawed from engine...

I think that is a cheap way to establish a good start to troubleshhooting if sparkplugs have any mileage on them.I stiill am amazed at how long modern cars run on plugs.

and 04 325it,all allen hex, so you have to look to really know,and breaker bar
is not necessary

I often get high readings if i check oil after overnight cool down. Remove dipstick, wipe, recheck, if back to normal all is good. I suspect air in dipsick
and ccv, cools down ,shrinks and pulls...
