Yeah the block/head will be the same. Its all the **** they bolt to it that might change. The exhaust/intake/sensors etc. But you have all of that so you should have no problems.

You are not worried about the loads in the bolt holding the strut to the rear knuckle? That bolt location is in single shear and was only designed for a damper load, not the full weight of the car.

I believe its so the jounce bumper can give the strut more rate sooner in the jounce stroke. They came on the cars with sport suspension. They wont work after they are split like that.
