You have to compare apples to apples. Forgive me if I'm wrong but the numbers you are quoting are bhp as opposed to the rwhp posted above. Drive train loss can eat up quite a bit of juice.

Brake pad... DIY (slight addition)

If you are unfortunate enough to be trying to install a NEW set of brake pads in place of your stock pads that you have already used quite heavily, you'll find that the DIY for replacing pads forgets...
