I've used Redline MTL for decades and have had zero issues. You live in a warm climate and MTL is a slightly heavier lube run D4ATF. I recommend MTL.

The clunk is probably a bad rear trailing arm bushing (RTAB). Search for the solution.

I concur with the replacing of both engine...

I concur with the replacing of both engine mounts. When the passenger side mount cracked it placed extra stress on the driver side mount.

Buy the bracket onto which the expansion tank sits. It's a relatively cheap part. That way you don't have to wrestle with the old expansion tank. Make sure you buy the drain plug too.

The "HK" in the HK system is in the amp and speakers. The head unit of a non-HK E46 is the same as that of an HK E46. However, the amp - both HK and non-HK - require balanced differential signals.
