That is correct. With spacers they will fit, however the proper fitment on a 5 series is a 10" wide wheel in the back. Also, the tire size is different on the 5 series. It requires a 245/35/20...

It will work but you might have some rubbing. Usually people run a 46 offset with 9.5 rear and even then you need to roll the fenders to make it work.
