Yes the foam falls apart easily. I've done a few repairs and they are all holding up after 2 years. New ones are very hard to find that cost $75-85 each and they all fall apart eventually

Try techron. Filter doesn't need to be changed as cleaners clean parts of the injectors and throttle bodies after passing the fuel filter. Engine oil barely gets dirty from cleaner.
