They are quite a universal car in England at least, they range from grotty 316's just about getting though MOT's upto CSL's they are cleaned with q-tips! I like my 740iL, but drove my old 328 again...

What codes did you get? Explain very carefully what part you sanded? For example I cleaned mine thoroughly with lots of brake cleaner to remove old oil.

One thing I've found is that not all parts are on RealOEM, for example on the E38 radiator the top-left elbow tube does have a separate part number, but in Europe one can only buy an entire radiator....

If using a lot of power then you need bigger Battery (or another) and bigger Alternator. Same applies if you were running a fridge etc too
