My oil pan "appears" to be leaking. I did all the clean up, etc., and I'm 99.99% sure it's the oil pan. 2006 with 125k on it.

Leaks about a quart a month. At $10/qt, that's $120 per year to...

That's EXACTLY what I did. I spliced in some 16ga primary wire and double-heat shrink wrapped each solder joint. The plugs I used were aftermarket ceramic types, very nice.

I've got replacement plugs that are ceramic vs plastic, can't hurt. The biggest prob was with the wire's insulation getting brittle and (literally)...
