yea no its all stock, cowl still in place. Its a wine noise not engine, literally drive on interstate 55 fine, start going a little faster like 65 and there it is. I will have to investigate it more...

i can understand how painting them might effect the cooling ability... if they are essentially designed like a radiator with very fine metal fins or whatever to maximize cooling, any layering on top...
