Arlington was cheaper than Fairfax, but ever since they moved to Alexandria they cost more. I goto getbmwparts.com and pick
it up at Silver Springs.

I had called German auto and BMW Arlington and they both quoted me at $400 for the repair. I caved in and just paid them. But when the passenger side window goes i'm gonna def. do it myself.

Just an update. I followed the DIY above, opened it up just to see if i could locate the issue. I realized two things, its harder to do it on the drivers's side door cause the wires going to the side...

Yeah i'm gonna get it all tinted up, and keep my finger crossed the Fairfax Police have more important things to do then chase me down for a minor tint issue.
